Winner - GBA 1 Gilgit Election 2026
Amjad Hussain of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly seat GBLA-1 Gilgit-I in General Election 2026 by securing 11,287 votes. PMLN candidate Muhammad Sahfiq Uddin remained runner-up with 6,472 votes. The election was held on 7th June 2026 in which candidates from PPP, PTI, PML-N, JUI-F, ITP, JIP, MQMP, MWM and independent contestants participated. The constituency GBLA-1 Gilgit is one of the most politically important seats of Gilgit Baltistan.
